Avellano Corylus
A complete dream stallion
and unique genetic jewel
Avellano Corylus is worldwide one of the only active breeding stallions from the direct maternal family of Olympic Vitali and a rare direct male descendant of legendary Armitage and Argentinus.
From one of the best maternal families in the world:
Direct family of FEI World No. 1 Tim Price's record-holding Olympic Vitali (CHIO Aachen 2025 Champion and Nations Cup Winner, Start-to-finish win, in the lead across all disciplines. 10 starts, 10 consecutive wins at the highest level of the sport.)
Legendary Sire Lines: Avellano Corylus is one of the world's only currently active breeding male descendants of legendary Armitage (Argentinus - Grannus - Inschallah AA, grandsire of Super Grand Prix Winner Foxy De la Roque) and of Sire of the Century Argentinus.
Worldwide the only son (Elite foal) of Belgian powerhouse Armison to stand at stud. Armison has achieved the top score 10 for jumping ability and one of the highest clear-round consistencies.
Magnificent Avellano Corylus is unique in his presence and charisma.
He is a true gift and, combined with his monumental presentation, elegance, pedigree, athletic ability and joy to perform, magnificent Avellano Corylus is unlike anything we have seen before.

PLEASE KINDLY NOTE: MARE TESTING REQUIREMENT
Please kindly note that the stallion has inherited a normal allele and a Wffs allele (carrier) from his high-performing ancestors.
Mares need to be tested non-carriers (N/N).
SIGNUM grants a deduction of 120 Euros from the stud fee for complete, valid laboratory reports submitted in a timely manner for mares with a non-carrier (N/N) status. Terms and Conditions apply.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, if you have any questions or need assistance.
The resulting offspring will be non-carriers and/or healthy carriers, since the allele is inherited recessively with no negative impact on carriers. According to inheritance theory and research, there is a 0% genetic statistical chance for a Wffs positive, non-viable foal. [When mating a carrier with a non-carrier, the 25% genetic statistical chance for a Wffs positive, non-viable foal does not apply.]
A complete and valid laboratory test result for the mare (dam) needs to be submitted to SIGNUM, at the latest, prior to semen shipping.
Testing has become relatively rapid and cost-effective via DNA test from hair roots (approximately 20-40 pulled hair from mane or tail, with visible hair roots, or via a blood sample).
When using laboratories within the EU, please calculate approximately minimum 2-5 days to obtain results, from the moment the sample reaches the lab. Many laboratories offer an express option on request.
Costs for this test with standard turn-around time are normally priced approximately between 45 and 70 Euros, but please verify directly with the laboratory and your vet.
