Avellano Corylus is one of the world's only currently active breeding male descendants of Armitage and Argentinus.

Worldwide, Avellano Corylus is further the only son (Elite foal) of Belgian powerhouse Armison (1m60 Armitage - 1m60 Cicero Z van Paemel - 1m60 Skippy II - Feo de Lauzelle) to stand at stud. Armison has achieved the top score 10 for jumping ability and one of the highest clear-round consistencies. He is out of one of the best Belgian lines, is bred by World Cup breeder Pieto Vanderlinden, and has provided his son Avellano Corylus with the heritage of Hanoverian sire Feo de Lauzelle. Feo de Lauzelle is the damsire of Tokyo Olympic Gold Team Champion and Individual and Team World Champion King Edward (Henrik von Eckermann, Sweden).
